There are many ways to advertise for needing a roommate, but one the of the most basic and popular methods remains making up fliers.  

When you advertise with this method,  you need to put the notices up in places that get a lot of traffic and that you feel will yield suitable candidates. Public and college libraries, dormitories, grocery stores, and gyms are excellent places to locally advertise.

Since you will be sharing this information with the public, you need to be careful of what information you publicize; realize that if you list your cellphone number, you may spend much of your time, screening and answering calls of potential candidates. If you have more than one email address, list the one that you use for less personal correspondence; this way your primary email address will not be available to the community and you will not be overrun by emails in your primary account.

The easiest way to make these flyers is to print them out en masse or to make multiple copies of them. Certain multipurpose machines offer both printing and copying services. If such a machine is too expensive for you to currently purchase, you may consider getting a copier lease. Copier leasing may be a more cost-effective option for you and it will enable you upgrade to a newer model when it becomes available.
